So, friends. I survived my first 21 Day Sugar Detox. It was rough, I won’t lie. I *may* have eaten an ice cream sandwich on day 22 just because I could. I also ate a metric ton (okay, more like a pound…) of cheese this weekend. I wish I was exaggerating. I have a problem. I need to quit cheese. Cold turkey. Like an addict giving up the smack.
After finishing off the 21DSD, I felt GOOD. Really GOOD. It made me want to conquer the next big challenge that’s been on my mind. A Whole30.
So with that, I hereby announce that I will be beginning a Whole30 on June 1! This program promises to change your life in 30 days. I don’t think it will make me a profoundly better human being, but I do hope that this nutritional reset will bring me back to the basics and stop thinking about crap food. Now, if I could go a month without eating cheese I would call that life-changing.
I’m more or less a slacker-paleo, to tell you the truth! I’m scared. No dairy. No coffee cream. To those who have to interact with me on a daily basis this also means no lattes. I’m sorry, in advance. That coffee will be consumed black. I hear that once you go black you never go back, or something…
